TESTIMONY

The Pursuit of Being is a luminous guidebook for anyone on the path of enlightenment and transcendence. I will be returning to passages in this book for years to come whenever I need motivation to search within and expand my self-understanding. Shaw's courage to share his intimate journey and hard-won wisdom is a gift I will treasure. This memoir touched my spirit and renewed my faith in the beauty of our human potential.Favourite quote
"We are born innocent, and many beliefs get programmed through various methods. When we begin to re-code this programming, we can start to see and re-establish who we are and only give credence to an accurate summary."

My insightThat quote speaks to the idea that we come into this world free of preconceived biases and belief systems, but through societal conditioning and programming, we adopt certain worldviews and ways of thinking. The author argues that to truly know ourselves and live authentically, we must unravel our programming and get back to our original, innocent state of being. The quote suggests that we must re-examine the beliefs and perspectives we've absorbed over time to determine which serve our higher purpose and which do not. By "re-coding" our programming, we can reset our thinking and belief systems to align with truth and our divine nature. This process of undoing conditioning allows us to shed layers of false identity and rediscover who we really are at our core. The importance of the quote lies in the notion that we have the power to break free of limiting programming and align with our true essence and purpose. It speaks to the human capacity for transformation through self-inquiry and getting back to a place of innocence and authenticity. Essentially, it is a call to question inherited beliefs, think for ourselves, and give credence to an understanding of self that rings true from within.O. Green
